DETAILS THAT
MAKE THE FINISH.

Resin bound surfacing combines specially selected aggregate with a clear resin binder. Correct preparation, weather conditions, mixing and laying are essential for consistent colour and a durable finish.

GMGB can complete the base, drainage, borders and finished resin surface as one coordinated package.

OUR PROCESS

CONTROLLED FROM
BASE TO FINISH.

01 / DESIGN

Survey & Selection

We assess the area and help select the aggregate blend, border and layout.

02 / BASE

Preparation

Where a fully permeable system is required, we prepare an open-grade porous tarmac base to the correct levels so water can drain through the completed build-up.

03 / MIX

Measured Batches

Aggregate and resin are mixed consistently in controlled batches.

04 / LAY

Trowelled Finish

The material is spread and hand finished for a smooth, even surface.

COMMON QUESTIONS

RESIN DRIVEWAY FAQS.

Is resin bound permeable?

Yes. The resin-bound layer is permeable, and when it is installed over an open-grade porous tarmac base the complete system allows water to pass through rather than sit on the surface.

Can I choose the colour?

Yes. Different natural aggregate blends are available, with optional contrasting edging to suit the property.

Can resin go over an existing surface?

Sometimes, but the existing base must be stable, suitable and properly assessed. We will recommend replacement where overlaying would risk the finish.

Is it low maintenance?

It requires less routine maintenance than loose gravel, although periodic cleaning helps keep the surface looking its best.
